Limited Edition is a sort of laboratory of excellence for true connoisseurs: those customers who recognize the mark of a higher order of craftsmanship. Even before they are added to the collection, Limited Edition models go through a long thought out design phase, where every criterion must comply with the highest standards, in terms of aesthetics, materials and wearability. Only after these prerequisites are satisfied and the model is tested personally by Andrea Santoni can the new style be added to this catalogue of excellence.

From the first cut of the carefully selected leather, to the final fire-branding with the Santoni mark, each step of the creative process is done by hand. There is no time limit for the creation of a single pair of shoes; just consider that one leather tinting phase can require over 15 coats and many hours or that a Limited Edition shoe may be kept in a form for up to four weeks prior to being completed.

The vintage process is particularly important and is carried out by masters with undeniable experience. The layers of colour are applied with a precise rhythm, with the appropriate time afforded between one application and the next in order to allow the colour to penetrate and unite with the leather, rendering it softer.

All the Limited Edition models are named after a renowned Italian wine. A parallel between two worlds: viticulture and shoemaking; they both share the same respect for tradition and the same passion for things made in the best possible manner, destined to improve over time and to be passed on from generation to generation.
